Hurricane Katrina

Wow . What an terrible week this has been. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who has been affected by hurricane Katrina. The news coverage is so difficult to watch, these poor people at the side of the road with nowhere to go. We take basics such as food and water for granted, I doubt any of those affected will do that again. It really makes you appreciate what you do have.

It is heart warming to hear about all those donating their time, services and money to help out in any way they can. I am a member of various groups and everyone is planning to donate their time and services any way they can. It's so hearwarming to watch everyone come together and help out. I know that I feel very helpless as to what I can do to help out, you feel like you want to jump on a plane and go and help out in whatever area you can. As President Bush said the best way to help out is to send money so I will be donating 10% of my earnings for the next month.

I believe tonight there is a fund raiser which has been set up by the Hollywood actors and singers. Although I can't help feeling that if they each donated $1million at the very least to this cause, it would certainly help to get everyone back on their feet a lot faster!!!!

Keep up the good work folks and think about what you can do to help out those affected by Katrina.
